During the end of World War II, the United States Army used the Hannum Warehouse as a storage yard. The 35 acre site, located at the corner of 3200 W Street and 8525 S Street in the City of West Jordan, Utah, was declared excess in 1948 and turned over to the War Assets Administration for disposal.

While occupied by the military, the site contained 24 wood buildings, an electrical distribution system, fencing, a well, and railroad tracking. The electrical distribution system consisted of 9 transformers, 28 poles, and overhead lighting. There were no underground storage tanks or fuel systems. Currently, none of the aforementioned structures remain on the site, as the majority of the land is now occupied by housing developments and commercial warehouses.

Between the fall of 2002 and the winter of 2003, staff from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its agents visited the site on multiple occasions. Based on these site visits, records researched, and interviews conducted, it was determined that no adverse or potentially adverse environmental hazards exist related to Department of Defense use. As a result, the site has been recommended for No Further Department of Defense Actions Indicated (NDAI) Status.
